As an independent artists the question to ask now days is do you need to build a website? With so much social media you may not need to build a website. Can you really get traffic to you site anyways.  You have soundcloud to host your music. You can always build yourself a twitter page to keep your fans informed and lets not forget sites like Instagram, youtube, facebook and many other social media sites. So it my opinion that you do not need a website for your band or act now days. It’s just easier to send your fans to all the other platforms.
